An Emotional Roller Coaster

I didn't think N.R. Walker could top Blind Faith, but she did and let me tell you....my heart was broken! I felt an array of emotions that I never expected throughout the entire book. We start with Carter and Isaac still happy after being together for about a year. Isaac is still his stubborn self at times and Carter is still the sweetest. But together, they balance each other perfectly.
Carter wants to live together but Isaac is fighting him. That is until he experiences something that changes his mind. So then we think...nothing can tear them apart now! Enter Josh....ugh!
I have to say that I NEVER liked Josh. What I liked even less was the way Isaac took to him and completely made Carter feel unwanted and even worse, unloved. I think deep down, Isaac was missing something from his relationship with Carter and found it with Josh. It also didn't help that Josh knew all the right buttons to push to win Isaac over. Still, I hated Isaac for his treatment of Carter.
I wasn't expecting these turn of events but I have to say kuddos to N.R. Walker for adding this "twist" to the story. I don't want to give too much away, but it's obvious that Carter and Isaac's relationship is put to the test and how it turns out is for you, the reader, to find out. All I can say is this story took me from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other. I felt such sympathy for Carter and the complete opposite for Isaac. Just when I had the overwhelming desire to kick Isaac's ass, he would suddenly do something to redeem himself which was so frustrating!
I also loved Mark so much that I wish he was my BFF! He is a true friend to Carter throughout the book and what makes him even more attractive is his wonderful sense of humor. He was truly my favorite supporting character. I hope one day to read a story about him (hint, hint). :)
As if it wasn't obvious, I definitely recommend this book. I really enjoy Walker's style of writing and have never been disappointed. I look forward to reading even more from her.

WOW... I liked book 2 even more then 1!

As close to perfect as it gets for me. It made me laugh, cry (both good and sad tears), swear, pissed me off and made my heart soar!!! Isaac is fiercely independent and as stubborn as they come! I'm not sure if I wanted to hug him, or to slap him more throughout! LOL I understood where he was coming from I did, I just hurt when Carter hurt. And speaking of Carter! Everyone should have someone like him in their life. He's sweet, kind, loving and fiercely loyal.
Then there are the secondary characters. Hannah, Isaac's sister and caretaker. Funny, she's a great blend of her brother, stubborn and Carter, loving and loyal. I'm not sure what either would do without her. Then there is Carlos, Hannah's husband. He's a bit player but one I loved. Always there, lovingly supportive or his wife and her brother, always with a kind word and a wise crack. Speaking of wise cracks.. There is Mark, who's Carters best friend. He's FUNNY, forward, and a sexy flirt! I LOVE HIM! Oh and did I mention there are animals too? LOL
It's a great book and I absolutely adored it!(less)

Amazing Amazing Amazing!

After reading the first book, Blind Faith, I thought there was no way to outdo it. After reading this one, I am completely blown away. Isaac and Carter are IT! I'll repeat, they are IT! I am so disappointed that this will probably be the last book. I laughed and cried and felt so much a part of their relationship, just like the first book. My favorite in both books was the back and forth banter between them, and enjoyed Mark, Hannah, and Carlos even more this time through. This series will stay at the top of my list for years!
