Improve your Conflict Intelligence

This is a wonderful book and I mean both in information and intonation. It is clear that Mark Adams cares deeply about this subject and about the reader. His tone made me feel like is was talking "with" me vs. "at" or even "to" me.
When you approach conflict with integrity and authenticity, you feel empowered and emboldened in the best possible way.
Conflict avoidance is one of the most destructive forces in your professional and personal life and most people avoid it not because they lack the will, but because they lack the way.

Unleashing the Power of Conflict

Mark Adams produced a fantastic book on "conflict resolution" by taking concepts from many different disciplines and weaving them together in a very cohesive fashion. I was amazed at how well he synthesized so much information into this one book. Mr. Adams dissected conflict into its basic elements and causes. He provides his readers with the tools to properly address conflict and to keep it from escalating. He points out the damage caused by our fear of conflict and clearly describes the value it provides, if handled appropriately. The material in this book could benefit anyone, not just those of us involved in "conflict resolution." This book resonated with me in so many ways.

The Importance of Being Courageous

This is a very useful book for practicing mediators. The tone and orientation to personal integrity and learning are important for mediators and consistently developed throughout the book. Very few conflict books are as emotionally informed, and fewer still offer real practical solutions to the subtle places where we get stuck, and this book does that. Mediation requires both courage and humility and this book will help mediators ground themselves and learn to become more skillful at both.
