About the Author
Raymond Chang received his B.Sc. degree in chemistry from London University, England and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Yale University. After doing postdoctoral research at Washington University and teaching for a year at Hunter College, he joined the chemistry at Williams College, where he has taught since 1968. Professor Chang has written books on spectroscopy, physical chemistry, and industrial chemistry.

Like all textbooks

It's a standard textbook. Like all textbooks, when they explain something, sometimes they don't explain it thorough enough. I was better off not looking in the textbook or looking online for help. I maybe used it once or twice; the teacher's notes were more helpful.

Wow, terrible explanation of chemical processes. I used this book for my Chem 102 class and ended up utilizing the internet more than the text. Even my professor expressed that parts are poorly written and lack thorough explanation.
